AVALANCHE!
It was morning and Abby Watkins and rich Marshall were skiing. The temperature was around zero and all was good. The last 24 hours were avalanche free. They were skiing on the Rogers pass in eastern British Columbia. They were not alone the mountain guides sport school group were pass through the popular Balu pass. After a while they left the 14 kids and the 3 adults behind until they stopped for a break.
On Saturday skiing threw the face of the Cheops mountain Abby and and rich herd a thunderous noise. When the couple had looked behind them they saw a whole bunch of snow moving faster well picking up snow as it moving. The school group was right in the path of the avalanches path. Rich yelled AVALANCH!! But the warning came to late the avalanche hit them right on. In the mater of seconds the 17 skiers were swept away.
When Abby and Rich went to look 4 the skiers it was hard because they were berried under 4.5 of hard snow all they could see was an odd hand and leg. The couple had 2 decide who to save first. Rich runs for the first hand he sees. For the next 45 minutes Abby and Rich were alone except the victims. One rule is do not dig unless they are berthing. In the end lived and 7 did not. In 1 hour after the avalanche hit 7 helicopters 3 dos and 30 individuals were on the site. At 1:30 the final person was dug out. 1 person was air lifted to the nearest hospital. The other people were transported to the cafeteria of the park wardens station.
